Implementation of the Biological Weapons Convention - Training for National Contact Points and other relevant stakeholders

Objectives and Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

• Explain what biological weapons are and comprehend the history, scope and key provisions of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), and its role in promoting global security;
• Understand the role and responsibilities of the BWC’s National Contact Points and their relevance in fulfilling their State's obligations under the Convention;
• Apply practical aspects of implementing the Biological Weapons Convention at the national level; and
• Describe the steps to prepare and submit Confidence-Building Measure reports, and its importance in promoting transparency and building trust among States Parties.
